Please note - not all shipping services consider the initial drop off day towards transit time.  Fed-Ex express services do not deliver on weekends without special fees.  Fed-Ex ground service delivers on Saturdays at no additional cost.

Live Plant Guarantee
If for whatever reason you receive a plant shipment that was burnt, frozen, or badly damaged while following the perishable shipping rules below - We will replace (or refund) all damaged plants at our expense!




Perishable Plant Shipping Information
Please read & understand this section before ordering live plants!

Orders containing perishable products usually ship out Monday through Wednesday to avoid weekend delays.
In other words: Plant orders placed Wednesday through Sunday usually leave the following Monday/Tuesday to ensure your plants arrive safely.
Perishables going to states shown above in blue & orange ship out only on Monday & Tuesday to avoid weekend delays.

During extreme hot or cold weather please select 2'nd or next day air during checkout to guarantee the safe arrival of your order.
States on the above map shown in yellow can use ground shipping regardless of weather due to 1 day delivery.
Using express shipping (2'nd or next day) does NOT ensure your order will leave sooner. 
Most plant shipments are pulled Monday-Wednesday regardless of service type.

We have a live weather & temperature display in our plants section to make choosing the correct shipping option easier.
We can't guarantee perishable shipments during extreme weather if ground service is selected.

A Word on Shipping Perishables
Shipping plants, live animals, and other perishable items isn't easy.  Something to understand - NO carrier insures live animals, perishable plants, insects, or most other perishable items without using custom critical (or equivalent) shipping methods, which is extremely expensive.  Because of this - We always do our absolute best to watch shipping temps, add heat & ice packs (when necessary), insulate, and individually wrap every perishable item we sell.  (We don't just wrap plants in old newspaper and send them along!) 

We've had many emails complementing our shipping & packing methods.  You will not be disappointed.

Many of our plants are shipped bare root which makes shipping them safer, cheaper, less messy, and helps us follow guidelines (when necessary) for the USDA.  Every single plant we sell (unless specifically stated otherwise) is carefully labeled and individually wrapped.  We use a bunch of different plant packaging materials to ensure we've done the absolute best packing job possible.



Live Animal Guarantee
We guarantee healthy arrival of all of our animals.
In the unlikely event there is an issue - replacements will be sent at no additional charge. (Shipping fee applies)
If a replacement animal is unavailable, the customer will be refunded the entire purchase price minus shipping.


Guarantee Regulations
• Claims must be made within 12 hours of receiving the shipment.  Pictures will be requested and are necessary.
• The recipient must have signed for the package upon the 1'st attempt.  All live shipments are "signature required".




Hard Goods Shipping info
Supply orders containing no perishable items usually ship out within 24 hours Monday through Thursday.

We carefully pack every order to help guarantee a safe arrival.  If the shipper damages the products inside the box - they are liable for the cost.  Every box is automatically insured for $100 thru most carriers.  If your order contains over $100 worth of fragile items - we (NEHERP) always pay to insure it for the total amount, so there's no worry about paying extra for insurance.  On the off chance the shipper gets "creative" with your box - just shoot us an email and we'll help you through the shipper's claims process.



Shipper Error / Lost Shipment
In the unlikely case the carrier loses your shipment or delivers it to an incorrect address - they are liable to refund you for the total cost of your order.  As explained above - shipments are always insured by us so you are always covered if the worst case scenario happens. If your shipment was lost or fell victim to a carrier error please contact us first so we can send you any necessary paperwork and help you through the process.  It's not at all common, but it helps having someone on your side with experience!  We will be happy to hold on reserve all replacement items for your order until the claims process is completed.  That way there's no chance we'll sell out of something you were looking for.
