Nature Zone's moss is air dried, which renders it dormant with out killing it and packaged in a protective reuseable plastic tray.  All three types are harvested in sheets which when rehydrated, resume the original shape and suppleness. It assists in providing the proper substrate for sensitive amphibians and reptiles.

Holds more water and stays moist longer than any other type of moss we carry. Natural components in moss prevent it from decomposing in humid environments. For use with most species of frogs, salamanders, newts and invertebrates including hermit crabs.
