These are the easiest "off the shelf" misting systems to use, and the version 2 ("II") units are significantly improved over the original RS400 model. We reintroduced these at NEHERP after testing a Multi II unit on three vivariums for over a year. No clogged nozzles, no timer mishaps. Just a simple & easy to use misting system. Like all misting systems, it's important to use filtered water - especially on the brass nozzle Nano version - to help prevent clogged nozzles & additional maintenance. (Reverse Osmosis Filtered water works great!) Monsoon systems are a better bet than ever, with tariffs (and new manufacturer shipping fees) impacting the prices of other brands. All Monsoon parts are compatible with all systems except the nozzles. The Nano uses brass nozzles, while the bigger systems use the plastic kind.

The Exo Terra® Monsoon is a programmable misting system suitable for all types of terrariums and greenhouses. It helps maintain optimal humidity by generating a fine mist at programmed intervals, the duration and frequency of which can be easily adjusted depending on the type of animal or plant housed. Frequent misting helps stimulate breeding behaviour, and is a necessity when housing live tropical plants such as Bromeliads, orchids, mosses, etc. The system can be programmed to mist multiple times per 24-hour cycle. The mist produced by these specially designed nozzles is extremely fine, creating a fog-like effect in the terrarium or greenhouse.
