Fluker's High-Calcium Cricket Feed is a premium formula designed for "gut-loading" crickets to increase their vitamin/mineral content prior to offering them as prey to your pet. This allows insect-eating pets to benefit not only from the nutritional value of the insect itself, but from the insect's nutrient-rich gut content as well. Feed as the primary source of food to crickets and most other feeder insects. The insects can be maintained on the diet until the time comes to feed them to your pet. To ensure optimal nutrition and calcium intake, feed the insects to your pet on the day after they've consumed the diet. Feed should be stored in a well-ventilated, dry area protected from rodents and insects. Feed is perishable. Do not feed moldy or insect-infested feed as it may cause illness or death.

It's the best media we've tested for all types of D. melanogaster fruit flies, and it works extremely well for every variety of D. hydei too. For folks who work with both hydei + melanogaster flies, this kit is your best bet. If you exclusively work with D. hydei and don't plan on using melanogaster, check out our Hydei Specific Kit for a slightly better production rate.

Our Excelsior is a lower-dust product, and our team is careful not to include too many of the short fibers in every package. Our Hydei Fruit Fly Breeding Kit offers everything you'll need to create 32oz hydei fruit fly cultures at our lowest prices. The NEHERP Hydei Media included in this kit helps to maximize the production of Drosophila hydei & 'Golden hydei' flies. This media was developed on the backbone of our best-selling original NEHERP Fruit Fly Media, with extra protein, amino acids, and vitamins added to boost production rates. (No hand-mixing or boiling water required!) The new Vinegar Sprayer (in-cart) option includes a simple spray bottle full of white vinegar, which makes creating even more effective cultures quick & easy.

Important: The extra goodies in this media which make it extra effective for Hydei make it far less effective for Melanogaster varieties. If you are looking for a single media to raise both types of flies, we'd recommend the original blend.

Our Excelsior is a lower-dust product, and our team is careful not to include too many of the short fibers in every package. Manufacturer Description
This Premium Mixture is fortified with Minerals, Trace Elements, Vitamins, and Carotenoids in order to maximize the nutritional value of Fruit Flies when they are used as Feeders.

Manufacturer Instructions
To make a typical culture (32 oz. size deli container) add between 3 tablespoons (typical when using boiling water) and 4 tablespoons (typical when using hot tap water) SuperFly medium to 2/3 cup prepared water and stir until blended. Finished mixture should be thin enough to flatten out when container is tapped on table. Add water or medium to adjust consistency if necessary. Let cool before adding flies. Add flies and keep at approx 75F. Culture should begin to produce larvae in 5 - 15 days and flies in 10 - 30 days depending on temperature and species.

Isopods are a great vivarium microfauna species, and this inexpensive care solution has get everything you need to get started working with Isopods. The kit includes a special substrate mix, Sterilite 6qt container, and your choice of a suitable complete Isopod Diet. A new addition is our free Cork Rind, which is a super thinly sliced piece of specialty organic cork bark which all species of Isopods we work with absolutely love to hide under. (Check out our Cork Rind Product Page for more info) We use cork as a hide in every one of our isopod cultures at NEHERP, and have had great luck doing so. Live Isopods are available separately. Every 3oz of Repashy Diet easily feeds a single Isopod culture for 2-3+ months.

Provent-a-mite is more effective and less expensive to use than other products to eradicate or prevent an infestation, with up to 4 times less required per treatment and is the only product proven to provide long term residual protection. Unlike all other products that stop working when or soon after they dry, Provent-a-Mite will bond to any treated surface and remain effective for up to 30 days or longer, continuously killing any potentially disease carrying mites or ticks. Once dry, Provent-a-Mite will not wash off and can be misted, wiped or washed without eliminating the effectiveness.

Simply treat substrate, racks, enclosure openings, etc. once a month as directed to kill any potentially disease carrying mites or ticks before they can infect your reptiles.
