About Our Original Retail Store Gallery:
Ah, the good old days. Between 2010 & 2012, we operated a very small retail pet store which offered everything available online plus an assortment of (strictly) captive bred, and often locally-bred Reptiles & Amphibians. During that time, the shared warehouse space was primarily used for overstock supplies & plants, and the day-to-day business & online order processing actually took place at the retail shop. Mike &Jess (owner & manager of NEHERP) actually met at the retail shop back in 2011, and eventually got married & started a family! To make a long story short, the little store played an important part in our company (and family!) history. The store helped us get the word out about our young company, and eventually the website really began to take off. Eventually the website grew to dwarf the retail store, the store merged into our warehouse location in 2012, and we became an online-only business for a while.
During the pandemic a customer of ours suggested we move to his comparatively enormous building in Plainville, CT. It didn't take long for our new (much bigger/nicer) showroom to open in 2022, with huge focus on live "bioactive" vivarium environments. We don't have an image gallery of our newest location available on the site yet, but you are welcome to check it out on Instagram!
