Kate & I had been been keeping leopard geckos and a couple other critters for about 5 years when we decided to try and build a business out of the hobby.  After a few years of college, Kate & I decided on a whim to start selling vivarium plants online while we were working for New England Wholesale Florist Supply selling imported flora.  We were pleasantly surprised to find there was a market for high quality vivarium plants (especially at competitive prices) and we were ecstatic to see our little company grow into something somewhat popular on a few exotic animal forums.  We started New England Herpetoculture as a division of New England Wholesale and eventually became our own company.  Time went on as we started breeding a few different types of exotic animals and building custom vivaria for customers and finally we decided to start stocking supplies & other fun things...  Which brings us to now!

Katie and I are still the only ones updating the site, pulling, packing, and shipping orders so you know everything will be done right - all by the owners.  Of course Ella helps wherever she can.  We are absolutely positive you'll be satisfied with our company.  We've earned 100% positive customer feedback on every forum we're a member of - and we've always done our absolute best to look out for our customers. Customer service has been #1 with us since we started - and it'll stay that way!

Katie is now the general manager of the old family business which we grew from; New England Wholesale Florist Supply.  She's the #1 salesperson for the company after just 4 years!  Kate also acts as a purchasing agent and overall manager.  Once NE Wholesale closes (Wholesale day ends at 3:00PM!) she's off to NEHERP.

I (Mike) am now part-time at NE Wholesale while working as much as possible to grow NEHERP.  Working two semi-full time jobs is a hassle - but not if you like both of 'em!  I'm one lucky guy - working with my girlfriend, dog, animals, etc doing exactly what I love to do.  Building vivariums has always been something I've enjoyed doing...  Now I do it full time!
